Stan has been an acting coach and teacher since 1987, both in LA and the Bay Area.  In addition to his own ongoing, private acting classes at his LA studio, Stan served on the faculties of the American Academy of Dramatic Arts West (13 years), Theatre of Arts Academy, the Denver Center Theatre Academy, South Coast Rep, UCLA, Santa Monica College, Diane Hardin's Young Actors Space, and the LA County High School for the Arts.  Many of Stan's students have achieved successful acting careers, including Oscar winner Leonardo DiCaprio.

Since moving to the Bay Area, Stan has taught on-camera audition technique classes for the San Francisco Acting Academy ("Up On Your Feet"), acting workshops at the Keating Studios in Berkeley, and acting intensives for graduate students from the Internationale Akademie für Filmschauspiel (International Academy for Film Acting) in Los Angeles (see Comments).

As an actor, Stan played numerous roles on television, in films, and on stages in Los Angeles, New York, and San Francisco. He appeared as attorney Marvin Girard on the television series The Judge for three seasons and directed several episodes of the series as well.  He is represented in the Bay Area by NYLO Talent Agency
